Akshina Jindal Left Corporate Life to Build India's First Magnesium-Focused Wellness Brand

This BITS Pilani and Goldman Sachs Alumnafounded Bubble Me in 2024 after noticing that magnesium-based wellness products, popular globally, were virtually inaccessible to Indian consumers despite addressing some of the most common health complaints among working professionals

Akshina Jindal worked in companies like Goldman Sachs and Amazon at the start of her career. Researching for solutions to her health issues with stress, bad sleep, and neck pain she ran into the same type of products each time. The wellness goods based on magnesium are very popular in the USA or Europe but hardly available in India. In 2024, she graduated from BITS Pilani and opened Bubble Me that aimed at making magnesium wellness a habit rather than another imported niche product.

What the Brand Sells

Bubble Me sells magnesium baths, Epsom salt baths, headache relief balms, magnesium balms, and magnesium tablets, following the ideals of recovery, relaxation, and preventive self-care. The company decided to present itself as a wellness brand even at the outset of its operation instead of a beauty and personal care brand, putting information and transparency into the centre of its customer strategy. Such an approach allowed to generate significant repeat demand for the company’s products without the need for intensive marketing effort.

The Shark Tank Moment

The company was able to achieve some national recognition after Bubble Me featured on Shark Tank India Season 5. When presenting her idea of establishing the first wellness brand in the country which would specialize on magnesium products, Jindal managed to attract the attention of investors. However, she eventually declined the offer, arguing that she was confident about the future development of the company.

Where It Stands Today

At the moment, the number of customers who used the services of the company exceeds 200,000, and the company continues to expand its reach using its own website and online platforms. The national recognition that was received after the participation in Shark Tank introduced many Indian customers to magnesium wellness which has helped in the overall market development of Bubble Me.
