OTPless Elevates CBO as Revenue Hits Rs 36 Cr Across 300M Users

Bengaluru-based identity and access management startup OTPless has appointed early team member Manas Poddar as Chief Business Officer (CBO), anchoring a major executive restructuring aimed at expanding its footprint across enterprise identity infrastructure.

Coming on the heels of co-founders Satyam Nathani taking over as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Tanmay Sagar as Chief Operating Officer (COO) on September 18, Poddar’s promotion cements the leadership core driving the startup’s aggressive commercial trajectory.

Operating with a lean team of 12 members, OTPless has scaled its authentication suite to reach over 300 million users, generating Rs 36 crore in annualised revenue while achieving 2.5X year-on-year growth and profitability for 2 consecutive quarters.

Ex-BharatPe Leadership Drives 2.5X YoY Growth and Profitability

In his new role as CBO, Poddar will spearhead enterprise sales, corporate alliances, and revenue strategy. Poddar joined OTPless in 2023 as one of its foundational team members, having previously served on the technical team at BharatPe from 2020 to 2022.

During his tenure at BharatPe, he contributed to the high-profile PMC Bank revival and helped lay the technical groundwork for Unity Small Finance Bank.

The executive realignment reflects a calculated pivot from consumer-facing login tools toward end-to-end enterprise identity management. With co-founders Nathani and Sagar also bringing foundational experience from BharatPe, OTPless’s streamlined 12-person organization has demonstrated exceptional operational efficiency.

The startup has recorded 2 straight quarters of profitability, proving that rapid commercial scaling can co-exist with strict fiscal discipline in India’s fintech and SaaS ecosystems.

Monetising Security: Deploying a Multi-Channel Identity Suite

OTPless has raised $6.5 million in cumulative equity funding to date, backed by prominent institutional investors including Venture Highway, White Venture, FJ Labs, SIDBI, and Piper Serica. Capitalising on this strong financial posture, Poddar’s primary mandate involves deepening enterprise client integration across high-frequency consumer applications.

The company’s proprietary technology portfolio comprises Silent Network Authentication, WhatsApp Authentication, Device Intelligence, and Passkeys.

By replacing traditional, friction-heavy SMS OTPs with seamless multi-channel verification, OTPless significantly improves user conversion rates for merchant partners while drastically lowering authentication costs and fraud exposure across millions of daily interactions.

Scaling Across Enterprise Giants to Reshape Digital Verification

Today, OTPless powers identity verification for more than 300 million authenticated users across 7 of India’s top digital enterprises, including Meesho, Zepto, Navi, PhysicsWallah, ShareChat, Shiprocket, and ixigo.

With $6.5 million in institutional backing, 2 quarters of proven profitability, and a current run rate of Rs 36 crore. The company says its current annualised revenue stands at Rs 36 crore, with revenue growing 2.5X YoY.

Poddar’s mandate will focus on enterprise sales, partnerships and revenue growth as OTPless expands its identity infrastructure offering.
